Director of Operations
John has been working in the restaurant and hospitality business for more than 25 years. Ever since he learned to make pretzels and pizza in the 5th grade, nothing makes him happier than entertaining and cooking for family and friends. He got his start in hotel management after graduating from college, and the fast pace and constant interaction with people hooked him right out of the gate. A fast study, John worked his way up to food and beverage manager by the age of 26 and was promoted to his first general manager position by 28.
The restaurant industry called to him, and he found his way in through the bar, slinging drinks and banter before returning to management. He eventually landed at McCormick & Schmick’s where he worked in Metro DC, New Jersey, New York, and finally Boston, where he managed the local restaurant from 2004 to 2007. John joined Fiorella’s in early 2013, and in a short time has already proven an invaluable addition to the house, not only for his knowledge and experience but also for his easy way with customers and great sense of humor
